Two Fisted Podcast - Woot!

One reason I haven't been posting stuff here is that I've been getting crazy with a podcast. Yeah. I guess a blog and two facebook pages are just not enough expression of my love for Hong Kong cinema. I had to go and make a podcast with Amber (aka Ninjasquid) too.  


The first episode of Two Fisted Podcast went online today!  Woot!

I'm so excited that Frank Djeng agreed to make a "Learn Movie Cantonese!" segment for each Hong Kong movie we cover.  This first episode features the essential triad movie word 大佬daaih lou.  Listen to Frank's excellent explanation with sound clips from Hong Kong Godfather and you'll be speaking Cantonese in no time.  Woot!  Dojeh saai Ah Frank! 


We also feature an email interview with English actor and martial artist Wayne Archer.  He was a stunt-gwailo in Hong Kong Godfather and agreed to talk about it with us.  Cool!  He also let us post his behind-the-scenes pictures on our Two Fisted Podcast companion piece blogpost.  What a nice guy. Double wooooot!


The blogpost has what is scientifically classified as "a shitload" of cool info about the movie so please check it out and feel free to comment.  There are lots of links to friends' related projects too because we have a lot of awesome friends who do cool things.


Big thanks to Ken at The Podcast On Fire Network for supporting Two Fisted Podcast!  He was very patient during my initial learning phase.  "Audacity" and I are finally starting to be friends now and the next few Two Fisted episodes are in the works.  Next up will be Amber's pick: Teruo Ishii's Blind Woman's Curse starring the lovely Kaji Meiko.  Dragon tattoos are kewl.  Blind swordswomen are kewl.  Hopefully our podcast will be kewl.


If "Format Factory" was my friend, I'd probably be much farther along in preparing the Profile In Anger episode but that program is an evil bastard that deserves a fiery death. It murdered my files so now I have to seek revenge and all that stuff.  However, I can say with confidence that at the very least we will have a kick-ass team of hilarious mofos all commenting at once on Profile In Anger, so make sure you pee before tuning in. 


In other news, we at the Heroic Sisterhood welcome our new sister: the very talented and witty film connoisseur Deb Martin.  I'm absolutely delighted that she joined our girl gang and I hope she stays forever.  Come hang out on our page when you get bored because we love to talk about Asian Action Cinema.
